College of Southern Assistant Professor Ronda Jacobs gives participants at Calvert County Public School’s Sixth Annual Science and Engineering Expo the opportunity to operate a mobile robot and play a VEX IQ Crossover game. Parents and students from elementary, middle and high school explored and engaged in STEM activities that were presented by a variety of organizations, including CSM, at the event held at Calvert High School in Prince Frederick. In addition to robotics, CSM faculty and staff shared information about cybersecurity and other CSM STEM programs, as well as the STEM programs that will be available at the college’s Kids’ & Teen College summer program.
