CSM Names Cast for ‘Adult American Males’

Cause Theatre Production Examines Relationships 10 Years After High School

The College of Southern Maryland’s Cause Theatre presents “Adult American Males,” a one-act play about secrets among high school friends. The play will open with a Jan. 29 performance on the Prince Frederick Campus in the afternoon, followed by additional performances Jan. 30 on the Leonardtown Campus and Feb. 5-7 on the La Plata Campus.

Graham Gordy’s “Adult American Males” follows four high school friends at their annual get-together at a cabin. They use this weekend to reminisce about old times and escape from their lives and families. This year marks the 10th year at the cabin, and it becomes apparent that the high school friendships have changed and the dynamics of their relationships have shifted as they have grown into men. Certain revelations are realized in this powerful piece about the adult American male.

The cast includes, Charles Watley as Carl and Jeremy Hunter as Hoyt, both from La Plata, Zeke Poiro of Leonardtown as Wallace and Derrick Hansford of Waldorf as Edgar.

“Adult American Males” is produced through special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. Tickets for all shows are $5. This show is for audiences 18 years and older due to subject matter.
