The College of Southern Marylands Theatre Company announces its cast for the Cause Theatre production of Its Not You, Its Me, a play by Don Zolidis and produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
Whether your boyfriend is a Canadian secret agent or monk in training, or your girlfriend is a psychic or pathological liar, one thing is for sure: they are about to dump you. Exploring the painful art of breaking-up through comedic, awkwardly realistic characters, this series of wildly hilarious scenes is sure to make you feel relieved not to be on the receiving end of those five fatal relationship words.
CSMs Cause Theatre offers several touring shows per semester, each bringing to light a different social issue, designed to be informative and challenging. Its Not You, Its Me, presents the issue of ending relationships.
“Cause Theatre typically deals with heavy subject matter. Although we're dealing with the ending of relationships in this performance, we're doing so in a humorous way. Thats why this particular Cause Theatre performance will appeal to all ages. There's no bad language and it's rated E for everyone,” said director of the production, Rami Essa.
CSMs cast includes Victoria Anastasi as Jenny, Katie Fischer as Catherine and Mazie, Jeremy Hunter as Jack and Todd, all of La Plata; Alyshia Bradley of Lusby as Ashley; Taejiana Curtis as Ellie, Jaimie Greene as Tori, Ricky Jenkins as Jim and John, Sean Smith as Jacob and Mark, Laura Stephens as Sarah, Emma Veteto as Angela, and Jeremy Smith-Boggs as Sam, James and Server, all of Waldorf; Devon-Marie Pettie of Mechanicsville as Gabriella and Charles Watley of Charlotte Hall as Thomas and Luke.
