The Disney Institutes professional development program, Disneys Approach to Business Excellence, will be available to businesses and organizations in Southern Maryland. Sponsored by the Corporate Center at the College of Southern Maryland, the program will be offered 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., March 31 at CSMs La Plata Campus.
This full day of training of Disneys proven business practices will help our business and community professionals to see their business challenges in a clear, simplified way and to find easy, effective solutions, said CSMs Executive Director of Workforce Development Susan Ross. Disneys experience in leadership excellence, people management, quality service and brand loyalty will inspire area professionals and help our local organizations to grow and prosper.
The full-day Disneys Approach to Business Excellence program will introduce participants to core Disney business principles of leadership excellence, people management, quality service, brand loyalty and creativity.
Prior participant in the Disney Institutes Disney Approach to Business Excellence and CSM Associate Vice President Dr. Kathleen Rottier said, The course was exceptionally well run. It stresses customer service, and the importance of setting quality standards. What made it so interesting was that Disney showed you how to apply its world-class approach to your business. There were a variety of businesses represented, and opportunities to map Disney's process to each individual's business. I was able to take information about how Disney provides its service, and adapt it to ways that CSM can make changes to improve its effectiveness to meet the needs of our students.”
During Disneys Approach to Leadership Excellence, participants will explore strategies and methods for improving team results through proven leadership philosophies that are used to exhibit the values and behaviors that generate results. In Disneys Approach to People Management, the Disney corporate culture instills pride and ownership in Disney Cast Members (employees). The same can be true for any organization looking to inspire and motivate employees. Participants will explore the Disney approach to selection, training, retention and communication, all of which sustain a supportive and interactive culture.
In an era where everyone is competing for business and market share, excellent customer service isnt a luxury, it is mission-critical. In Disneys Approach to Quality Service, participants will discover how Disney exceeds expectations through its service infrastructure, ongoing research and established service standards. In Disneys Approach to Brand Loyalty, the relationship between consumer experiences and a companys brand is vital and can generate superior bottom-line results, and participants will explore strategies that deliver on an organizations brand and retain customers for life.
