CSM Gallery: “Surface Tensions,” New Work by Hunt Prothro. Washington, D.C. resident and nationally showcased artist Hunt Prothro has taught pottery at Sidwell Friends School for over 30 years. His pottery demonstrates a unique blend of color and texture on ancient forms in which the solidity of mass and weightlessness merge. Prothro says he works, “as a poet works within a narrow, but mythic form, open to the nuances of a conscious hand.” Prothro will discuss his work during a gallery talk and reception, March 13 at noon.
